Botot
Botot Eau de Bouche is an oral hygiene routine steeped in French history. The story began in 1755 when Monsieur Botot, acclaimed scientist and personal physician to King Louis XV, created Eau de Botot. Made with natural essences, this concentrated preparation was made so that the King could have breath to match his reputation as a seducer. Shortly before the Revolution in 1789, Louis XVI also gave it his royal assent meaning this may well have been his final royal act. A few months later when his Queen Marie Antoinette was imprisoned, she even asked her jailer to bring her a bottle of Eau de Botot!
